Our Founder

Our Founder, Gwen Parker, is a CPA and QuickBooks ProAdvisor. She has more than 25 years of experience in all sizes of companies, multiple industries, and in both for profit and not-for-profit environments. Gwen's favorite part of her career has been serving clients in an outsourced CFO/Controller and consulting role. She enjoys  and excels in helping clients set up, clean up, and manage their accounting and finances so that they can "Know their Numbers" and be much more successful with their businesses.   

 

Gwen has worked in-house in the Fortune 500 arena at both Arvin (Meritor) Industries in Columbus Indiana, and then at Walt Disney Consumer Products.  She has also been the Corporate Controller for a multi-company conglomerate where, in addition to overseeing the day-to-day accounting, she was responsible for cleaning up the accounting records of the newly merged in entities.  She was also on the team that was responsible for due diligence for both merging entities and capital injections.

 

In her most recent endeavor, she was in a public accounting environment acting as the outsourced CFO/Controller and overseeing the day-to-day accounting for her clients. She also served as a QuickBooks consultant for setup, cleanup, and maintenance of QuickBooks company files.  Clients included individuals, LLC's, S-Corps, and not-for-profits. Clients were across the board in regards to industries and included the sale of product, service,  professional services, and even professional athletes. In her past, she was also very integral in complex manufacturing accounting and the importing of goods.  

In her free time, Gwen enjoys being a volunteer board member of the Carmel Clay Public Library Foundation, Probably the best part of Gwen's week is when she's at the soccer field, cheering on her daughter and taking pictures for the team.  She also enjoys scrapbooking, reading, sewing, exercising, baking and gardening.

 

Gwen is a member of the AICPA and the Indiana CPA Society and was a finalist for Junior Achievement's "2010 Best and Brightest." She was admitted with Distinction to Ball State University, received the Ball State President's Scholarship, and was on the Dean's List.
